Okay, so it's been over a year since a release has been done, and i've basically have fucked up and given up on a few ideas. I've taken on a few new projects and most of them are being done over summer.

the mowgli/howard the duck split will probably be first

the delta 9 issue#3 + What's going on in the orange grove comp will be out mid summer possibly

the SSUW anthology will be very last, putting alot of time into it.

I made a seperate section for the distro located above the contact information.

I'm going to update it to the best of my abilities!

a few new things we have in the distro:

a couple copies of the Ezra Joyce/Pianos Became the Teeth split 7". Both bands have a similar sound in the epic screamo area, it comes on beer colored vinyl and comes with digital download codes.

Also, there's a copy of the Werewolves/Call Me Betty split 7". Wereolves are from baltimore and play really thrashy punk stuff, and Call Me Betty plays very tech spazzy grindy deathmetal!

Delta 9 Issue #3

Okay, so i had the entire thing ready to be copied, and i trashed it. I came to dislike how it came out, so Delta 9 is getting a complete makeover to be a mostly Record review zine, with occasional articles, and interviews.

I'm only keeping one article from the original issue #3 just cause even though it doesn't apply too much anymore, i think it's a good representation of what was going on at the time.

I'm looking for submissions for reviews, and i'm going to do a few "picks" here and there.

I'm timing this with the compilation cd, so it'll come together.

i'm actually going to have to charge for this issue, just $1 though to help cover the cost of the cds.

The distro is a very important concept to me. The idea of getting/sending releases around the country and the world is awesome! I try to carry as many "types" of DIY music as possible without limiting myself. I will not carry anything that is hateful or offensive, leave that shit to the hicks.

Summer is coming at you!

April and May are going to be pretty dead in our area of florida, but come june cool things start happening! With summer usually comes summer tours of 1,000 bands, several releases that we've all been waiting for, and even an excuse to escape the boring and mind numbing reality that is SWFL.

Cool News: We're having the first Sunburnt Tongue House show in over a year. It's not going to keep happening, it's just for my birthday, and the start of...

The Howard the Duck Summer Florida Tour!

Four days of traveling alone throughout southern/central florida playing acoustic fuzzies. I have the first date ready obviously, ahah, but i still need help with the following.

seeing as how it's acoustic, i don't require a huge place or anything, but house shows are always nice. Here are the dates:

June 5th - Sunburnt Tongue House (cape coral)
June 6th - HELP!!! (miami)
June 7th - HELP!!! (kissimme)
June 8th - in progress (orlando)

March is BUSY!

Okay, Nevin is having another show at his house. Awesome!

It's going to be Panzram's 4th show, Let's Go Exploring is going to tear it up again, and two sweet thrashy bands from the tampa area.

Also, a week after that, there is a show at the house of cats! Panzram with be playing that, and Give Up(ex-devices/written and erased/jesse washington), and another band possibly!

I'm very stoked for how awesome everything has been!

Good News/Bad News

Okay, now the bad news is we are pulling the plug on the SSUW CD. It's been a looooong time of planning and design and ups and downs, but we don't feel very confident, and we would rather put more into the release than just hope. We're recording about 10 new songs written over the past 5 months with our friend Marc from Let's Go Exploring! We have a few splits in the talks, but nothing solid yet.

The Good news, if anybody wants the SSUW release, it IS available on cassette from Bear Records in Boston! They were nice enough to help us out seeing as we are lame! You can get it for $2 from them Here or from us at a show/mailorder!

We have nothing coming up besides a compilation CD of our friends from around florida, more news on that when it comes time!

New Venue!

2/5 guys from Let's Go Exploring! have started doing shows at their house! We played the first one there, which was LGE's CD release show! It was really good, there was vegan cookies and brownies (thanks mike and luc!), and most of all everyone had a good time!

Hopefully this next one will be just as good!

Also, Mike from LGE is going to help us re-record for our upcomming releases! We are very stoked and happy to have not only the opportunity to record in great quality, but also with good friends in a RELAXED atmosphere!

Keep up the great work everyone! This keeps getting better!

Ok, so The Sea Swallowed Us Whole EP has taken forever... but it is finally going to be available! Bear Records from boston is putting it out on cassette to help us out! The CD version is slowly begining, so it shouldn't take too long.

Issue #3 of Delta 9 is finally put together! all i need to do is scan and make copies! i'm going to make 100 this time, just cause i finally have gotten a bit more use to it.

CALLING ALL PUNKS

If you live in florida, and run a house venue, or want to start, get in contact with me! I want to have a list of such house venues for touring bands to see/get in contact with! That way we can provide every band that comes through with a cool place to play and no bullshit attached! Too many bands send me or my friends emails asking about shows, and i can only come up with a handful of places across this penis shapped state.

Websites like dodiyusa.org and byofl.org are good, but aren't updated and aren't too personal as it covers the entire country as opposed to one state.

So get in contact if you have such a house, and if you live in a sweet house, start having house shows! They are so much more fun than going to some bullshit venue, paying $7 and having drugs and beer everywhere.

Drop Acid, not Bombs

Okay,

It has been a fucking process and a half trying to get this shit together, but we finally have decided to not put it on 7". Money is too short for vinyl right now, and we aren't confident enough of the recordings to actually put it on a 7". We are still putting it out as a cd and pressing 100 of them. For the Love of _____ Tapes is still putting out the cassette version /50.

We have so many new songs to record it's not even funny, and there is talk of splits, which WILL be vinyl. As far as with who, we are talking yet, but sure it will be good!

to the avererage person in a decent sized city, diy house shows aren't really a big deal. Well around the Ft. Myers area, we've struggled for a little while now. So now we are starting to give to the kids what our predecessors did for us. When i was 14-18 i really loved the local shows around here. So many good bands came through (even though i missed some), and it was something to be proud of.

Well now it's our turn to do this!

We are currently running a house in Ft. Myers to hold good, clean, and fun diy shows for everyone! They will usually be free(donations), or at the most $1 or $2, and would love for touring bands to come through!

So far we have already booked/or are currently setting up:

Understaffed Orchestra from NJ do a electronic drums meet screamo kinda thing, and for what it's worth, it could've been good. Ezra Joyce, also from NJ, comes with the sound/feel the the northeast is famous for. Their songs would go on an ep and other releases after going through bassists and perfecting their sound. The Sea Swallowed Us Whole threw down our first 4 songs. mostly slow clean channel stuff, which would be abandoned 2-3 months after the release. One of the songs is being re-released on the upcomming 7" (re-recorded/fixed ending).

Distro Update & News for Fall time!

Okay, so things have been picking up speed on The Sea Swallowed Us Whole 7", sending off to the press plant soon, and we are sending the art to be printed soon.

After the release, we are venturing on a 5-6 days florida tour, if anyone could help, that would be amazing!

So here's the up-to-date vinyl distro. We still have a shitload of tapes and cd's, that would take alot of time to update. Plus people like records more anyways.

We got a few of the Written and Erased/Bears split cd's. For those of you who don't know who either of the bands are, Written and Erased are from melbourne, FL. Their sound is very chaotic and frantic, with ex members of Devices, Beneath Low Flying Planes, and Jesse Washington, if I were you, I'd keep an eye out for these guys. Bears' sound is as if you took toru okada and cowboys became folk heroes and put them together (whether they are as good as either i'll leave up to you. So until I can get a real website, this will be it!
It might be a few days before everything is perfect on here, but no worries as I will work hard to make it acceptable!
The distro has been super pumped full of all kinds of good Vinyl from such artist as: I Hate Myself, Funeral Diner, Le Shok, Braid, Toru Okada & so many more.
We are sending the tracks to the pressing plant within 2 weeks for the "Drop Acid, not Bombs" 7" EP by my band The Sea Swallowed Us Whole.
